On 6 October, ZUS published inspection results for the first eight months of 2026. Irregularities appeared in 18,495 of 20,529 inspections, or 90.1%.

Eight-month results

The institution says it selects contribution payers using data and risk analysis. The inspections’ financial result totalled PLN 373.3 million.

Why selection matters

The percentage concerns the selected inspection group. It does not mean nine out of ten Polish businesses make mistakes; targeted inspections are not a representative survey of the entire market.

Reviewing business records

Businesses can check consistency between registrations, contribution calculations and personnel records. Discuss discrepancies and necessary corrections with the person responsible for accounting. The aggregate statistics do not establish the outcome of an individual company’s inspection.
