Five PSE transmission substations are to be modernised with EU support. The energy ministry reported the project on 20 October, following a funding agreement signed on 15 October 2026.

Funding and project scope

FEnIKS 2021–2027 support amounts to PLN 315.6 million towards a total project value of around PLN 813 million. The work is intended to improve reliability, control standards and generation connection capabilities.

An agreement is an investment milestone

Securing funding is a stage in delivery, rather than evidence that construction has finished. To assess progress, readers should look separately for work schedules and confirmation that equipment has entered service.

What does the funding share show?

Our calculation divides PLN 315.6 million by the approximately PLN 813 million total, giving about 38.8%. The difference between the stated cost and grant is approximately PLN 497.4 million, or 61.2%. Because the overall cost is rounded, these results are approximate too.

The notice covers Boguszów, Halemba, Zamość, Świebodzice and Gdańsk Przyjaźń substations. It does not allocate the amount between individual sites, so an arithmetic average should not be treated as any one site’s budget. The support figure also does not establish all sources of the remaining funding or the payment dates of individual instalments.
